Creating Capacity Through Music Professional Development for Special Educators & Classroom Teachers
This program is a 5-hour, interactive, continuing education workshop that teaches classroom teachers to utilize music to engage all students and to support the various learning objectives for children aged 3 to 7 years.
After attending, you will be able to:
- understand and utilize fundamental principles of music and movement (such as tempo, rhythm, style, form) in order to select or create music and movement experiences that meet the needs of all students
- integrate instrument play, movement, listening and singing as part of the daily activities in the classroom in a manner that is inclusive and enticing to all children.
- document frequency and duration of music activities used in their classroom as well as observation of behavior response or changes related to the use of music in the classroom
